Tough

Tough is the defense-focused B-tier trait. Niche pick for Survival/Nightmare endurance builds where HP pool matters more than DPS. Zombie trait offers a similar defensive profile with Lifesteal on top, making Tough strictly worse than the A-tier defensive trait.

Stat profile

Per src/content/tier-snapshots/index.json traits snapshot, the Tough notes field reads “FRVR-only; defense.” The snapshot does not enumerate stat magnitude; per docs/04-tier-list.md §2.3.2 the Tough row lists stat bundle as not specified with Defense-focused notes. No public source publishes a Tough HP/defense figure — the classification is HP/defense lean per the docs row, with the actual values unsourced.

Where this trait shines

Per docs/04-tier-list.md §1.2.1 (Raid → Reaper matrix) and §1.2.2 (Survival/Infinite → Flash matrix), Rolasyum names neither [Tough] nor any B-tier defensive trait in either of those slots. Tough’s situational use is endurance-heavy Survival/Infinite runs before rolling a Mythic — long Gravewalker-mode farming where the player wants more HP buffer than Flash’s +40 HP (per tier-snapshots Flash notes) provides. Per docs/04-tier-list.md §2.3.4, pairing Tough with Colossus Titan (+25 HP) or Shield Titan (+20 HP + 5% Lifesteal — the docs/04 §2.3.4 max-Lifesteal pet) stacks HP for a peak-tank profile.

Tier positioning

Per the tier-snapshots ranking, Tough is rated B with sources_supporting: 1 (FRVR-only). Per docs/04-tier-list.md §2.3.2, the FRVR-only B-tier cluster (Fortune / Swift / Timer / Tough / Fleet) all carry needs_check credibility on stat magnitudes. AllThings.how does not extend to B-tier specifics.

Synergies & comparison

Tough overlaps with Zombie (A-tier Legendary, lifesteal-heavy survivability per docs/04 §2.3.2). Per the tier-snapshots Zombie notes, Zombie is the “Lifesteal-heavy survivability (Legendary)” pick — the same survival pillar as Tough but at the A-tier stat-budget level with Lifesteal added on top. For Saiyan Survival builds (per docs/04 §1.1.2 Foong Meta Build pairing Saiyan with Flash for Survival), Tough is a placeholder while rolling Mythic; the docs-recommended endgame defensive pivot is Zombie + Shield Titan pet for the Gravewalker uptime build, not Tough.
