Nen Prodigy
Inspired by Hunter × Hunter — Hisoka and/or Killua
Kit
Signature: Bungee Gum / Godspeed. Skills — m1: 10 hits · z: 60 · x: 45 · c: 115 · g (mastered): 300 · v: not yet documented. Beginner-friendly damage curve; no multi-hit dependencies.
Nen Prodigy is the Hunter × Hunter-themed B-tier ability — a beginner-friendly kit with single-hit damage values that don’t depend on trait stacking for baseline performance.
Canonical IP attribution
Nen Prodigy is internally referred to as Hisoka or Killua — the official Discord Title Database thread by [AFK] murd’ (2026-05-07) explicitly lists “Nen Prodigy (Hisoka/Killua)” as the +5% DMG ability title, indicating both characters are valid in-game references.
The signature skill names Bungee Gum (Hisoka) and Godspeed / Whirlwind (Killua’s electric Nen aura) reflect both characters’ canonical HxH techniques.
Base damage (Foong, 2026-05-12)
| Skill | Output |
|---|---|
| m1 | 10 hits |
| z | 60 |
| x | 45 |
| c | 115 |
| g (mastered) | 300 |
| v | Mastery-100 V-skill (not yet documented in Discord) |
Nen Prodigy’s g (300) is the lowest among the 13 documented abilities — there’s no multi-hit scaling, just clean single-hit damage values. This makes it forgiving for new players (predictable damage per cast) but caps the ceiling for endgame raid clears.

When to roll past Nen Prodigy
Nen Prodigy is a fine early-game main, but the meta progression jumps to Saiyan / Shadow Monarch / Pride / Coyote / Atomic / Spin once those drops land. Use Nen Prodigy through Mastery 25–50, then transition to higher-tier kits.
Meta positioning
docs/04-tier-list.md §2.3.1 places Nen Prodigy at B-tier with the note “Beginner-friendly”, cross-verified by Beebom + FRVR + Tier 1 base dmg. Foong’s Meta Build tables (docs/04-tier-list.md §1.1.1 / §1.1.2 / §1.1.3) — Raid, Survival, Infinite — never name Nen Prodigy in any mode’s optimal weapon column. Rolasyum’s trait-pairing matrix (docs/04-tier-list.md §1.2) does not list Nen Prodigy under either the Reaper Raid slot or the Flash Survival/Infinite slot.
Per the update-cycle note in docs/04-tier-list.md §5, the post-SBR+AOT meta has crowded the top with Spin / Cid / Naoya — Nen Prodigy remains a viable progression piece for new players but is firmly outside the competitive endgame. Its 300 g-slot is the lowest in the 13-ability Tier 1 dump (docs/04-tier-list.md §1.3), which means raw DPS scaling is the gap, not kit complexity.
Trait synergies
The Tier 1 weapon-upgrade table (docs/04-tier-list.md §1.3, Lunatic 2026-05-05) treats Nen Prodigy as one of the two high-CD abilities (the other is Sosuke) that retain a CD-leaning allocation even when Reaper is stacked:
| Trait | Recommended DMG / CD allocation |
|---|---|
| Base (no trait) | 3 DMG / 4 CD |
| Reaper | 4 DMG / 3 CD |
| Flash | 5 DMG / 2 CD |
Per §1.3 Tier 1 regularity-extraction notes, “Nen Prodigy / Sosuke 始终偏 CD” — these two are flagged as the only abilities whose base allocation does not push toward pure DMG. The reason: Nen Prodigy’s c-slot (115) and z-slot (60) carry meaningful spam value when CD is short, so cooldown upgrades let the kit actually rotate. Once Flash is stacked (-20% CD + 25% ATK SPD), the 5 DMG / 2 CD allocation unlocks the kit’s potential.
Synergies & comparison
- Versus Sosuke: Sosuke (g = 363) edges Nen Prodigy (g = 300) on the g-slot and has a similar high-CD upgrade profile. Same trait answer (Flash for clear, Reaper for sustained), but Sosuke is the cleaner mid-game upgrade.
- Versus King of Curses: King of Curses’ g-slot (350) sits between Nen Prodigy (300) and Sosuke (363), and King of Curses has a +5% DMG title match (
docs/04-tier-list.md§1.4.2). Nen Prodigy also has its own +5% title match — “Nen Prodigy (Hisoka/Killua)” — so the title axis is parity. - Versus S-tier upgrades: when you roll Pride (g = 910), Shadow Monarch (S via summon DPS), Coyote (g = 550 + Cero Metralleta at Mastery 100), or Saiyan (g = 1170 + revive), retire Nen Prodigy.
- Pet pick: Colossus Titan is Foong’s universal pick (
docs/04-tier-list.md§1.1.4) — 20% DMG + 25 HP scales every g cast. Early-game Igris (12% DMG + 2% Lifesteal) is the accessible alternative. - Title pairing: the Nen Prodigy (Hisoka/Killua) ability-spin title is +5% DMG — themed match but eclipsed by World Five / Steel Ball Run when those land (
docs/04-tier-list.md§1.4.5).
